C.A.S. (Carpet Anti-Slip) technology
Artificial turf systems are subject to high shear force from athletes during rapid changes of direction and scrum. Systems with less or no infill require high friction with a base or pad to prevent carpet movements. NEXXFIELD systems are designed to work with our exclusive NEXXFIELD shockpad and C.A.S. technology, which provide higher carpet stability as compared to traditional system configurations, such as 100% rubber infill laid on compact stone.
NEXXFIELD C.A.S. technology is patented in the U.S. and exclusive to NEXXPAD.
Some statistics
During scrum and other harsh movements, shear stresses are directly transferred to the artificial turf’s seams. By drastically increasing and “locking” the turf onto the NEXXFIELD shockpad, shear stresses become absorbed by the C.A.S., reducing wear and tear on the seams.
