Soccer

Soccer players must perform a range of movements. They have to be able to start, stop and change direction abruptly; sprint and jog; walk forward, backward and sideways; and jump, slide and fall over.

Key factors when designing an artificial turf pitch for soccer include:

  • Sliding, traction, rotation and shock absorption
  • Surface friction and skin abrasion
  • Ball-to-surface interaction: roll and rebound
  • Turf stability and durability

NEXXFIELD products are soft enough to absorb impact, thus reducing the risk of injuries. They also provide stability and safer stopping, allowing cleats to sink into the material as they would with earth and natural grass. The roll and rebound of NEXXFIELD products replicate the characteristics of natural playing surfaces.
