Field Hockey

Field hockey

Field hockey players need the right combination of speed, rotation and slide on an artificial pitch. Pitches that provide the right level of footwear-to-surface interaction ensure that players feel confident and safe in their movements while keeping friction burns and abrasions to an acceptable minimum when sliding or falling.

Field hockey pitches must also ensure that the ball does not deviate from its path. Since the ball is smaller than in other contact sports, it is more susceptible to unevenness. Therefore, a field hockey pitch must be flatter in order to preserve unbiased ball roll characteristics.
