Last week-end, the New York Cosmos played theirs first 2017 home game at MCU Park in Brooklyn. To be able to make it happen, the Cosmos contacted NEXXFIELD for a solution to convert the MCU baseball field in a professional surface for the COSMOS. After different investigations and tests, the NY COSMOS stopped their choice on the portable E2 PRO system also used in the past by the Oklahoma RAYO OKC. The facility to install the E2 system allowed the crew team to convert the entire field in less than 24 hours. The dismantle took only 6 hours. This operation will be done at every home game and thanks to the user friendly NEXXFIELD E2 system. The Cosmos will play each of its seven opponents home game on NEXXFIELD, plus two additional matchups. The Spring Season Champion and Fall Season Champion will each earn a spot – and semi final hosting rights – in The Championship, the league’s four-club postseason tournament. The New York Cosmos are reigning champions of the NASL, having won their second consecutive NASL Championship and eighth overall last November, with a 4-2 win on penalties over Indy Eleven in The Championship Final.
